Urinalysis

Do you think you may have a bladder infection? For example, do you have symptoms such as pain during urination or a more frequent urge to urinate?

Do you think you may have a bladder infection? For example, do you have symptoms such as pain during urination or a more frequent urge to urinate? If so, you can have your urine checked for a bladder infection by the medical assistant.

  • Please bring your urine sample before 10:30 AM if possible.
  • Preferably, provide your urine in a container specifically intended for this purpose; these can be obtained at the practice reception desk, the pharmacy, or the drugstore.
  • Please submit a midstream morning urine sample. You do this by first urinating a small amount and then collecting the rest of the urine. This prevents cells and bacteria from entering the urine that could affect the results.
