On September 15, 2025, the RIVM will start a new round of COVID-19 vaccinations. The COVID-19 shot can be obtained until December 5, 2025.
The general practitioner cannot assist you with a vaccine;
this is all managed through the GGD.
Invitations and appointments
Between August 26 and mid-October 2025, everyone aged 60 and older will receive an invitation letter from the RIVM. Persons under the age of 60 who belong to one of the risk groups will not receive a letter but can make an appointment with the GGD (Municipal Health Service) starting August 26 via planjeprik.nl or by calling 0800-7070.
Where can you get the shot?
The vaccination is administered by regional GGDs throughout the country. Residents of care institutions will receive the shot within their care facility.
People who, due to a serious illness, condition, or disability, are unable to go to a GGD vaccination site themselves or with the help of others, may in special cases receive the COVID-19 shot at home. Those who are eligible can call the GGD starting August 26 via 0800-7070.
