Do I need to see a doctor? (MINDD)
Are you unsure whether you need to see your GP about a health complaint? With Moet ik naar de dokter? (MINDD), you can answer a series of questions about your symptoms online. You will then receive immediate advice, for example on self-care, making an appointment with your GP or calling immediately if urgent help is needed.

Want to ask a question or send a photo/document directly?
Do you have a question about a complaint you have already discussed with your GP or the practice assistant? Or has the practice asked you to send a photo or document?
In MijnGezondheid.net or the MedGemak app, select:
‘Ik wil direct een vraag stellen over een bekende klacht’ (I want to ask a question directly about an existing complaint)
This option allows you to:
write your question in your own words;
add an attachment, such as a photo, letter or document;
send your message to the practice without first completing the MINDD questionnaire.
You should also choose this option if you only want to send a photo or document requested by the practice.
Make an appointment directly
Would you like to book an appointment directly without completing a questionnaire? Select ‘Ik wil direct een afspraak maken’ (I want to make an appointment directly).
This option is intended for complaints for which you can book an appointment yourself. For urgent complaints, you must always contact us by phone.
Online advice about a new complaint?
Select ‘Nieuwe klacht of medische vraag’ (New complaint or medical question). This opens the MINDD questionnaire. You answer questions about your complaint and then receive advice on what to do. Depending on the outcome, you may be able to send the completed questionnaire to our practice.
You cannot write a question in your own words or add a photo or document within this questionnaire. Would you like to ask a follow-up question about a complaint you have already discussed, or send a requested attachment? Select ‘Ik wil direct een vraag stellen over een bekende klacht’ (I want to ask a question directly about an existing complaint).
For life-threatening symptoms, call 112. Do you need urgent medical help? Call the practice or, outside our opening hours, the out-of-hours GP service.
How does self-triage work?
Triage means assessing how quickly someone needs medical help. Normally, the practice assistant asks a number of questions over the phone. With self-triage, you answer similar questions yourself online.
MINDD provides advice based on your answers. Digital self-triage can provide clarity quickly, but it does not replace an assessment by a healthcare professional in every situation.

Why does our practice offer digital self-triage?
GP services are under pressure. Health insurers and national healthcare organisations also encourage the use of digital self-triage. The aim is to give patients advice more quickly, provide reliable self-care information and make the best possible use of available GP care.
However, digital triage remains a tool. Triage and medical assessment still require human judgement. You can therefore also book an appointment directly or send an online consultation message about an existing complaint.
As a GP practice, we continue to critically assess whether MINDD is sufficiently safe, accessible and user-friendly for our patients and staff. We regularly review whether the partnership still suits our practice or whether we need to make different choices. The fact that digital self-triage is encouraged nationally does not mean that we will continue using it without making our own assessment.
