We would like to inform you that from September 2025 through January 2026, Dr. Simon Kraanen will be working with us.
Together with Dr. Youri Poelemeijer, he will form your permanent GP team until Dr. Els van der Veen joins us on February 1, 2026.

My name
is Simon Kraanen and I will be joining the team at Huisartsenpraktijk Vechtrijk for several months starting in September.
I completed my GP training this year with great pleasure at a city practice in Rotterdam. Together with my girlfriend and two young sons, I recently moved to the beautiful Nederhorst den Berg.
After various roles as a hospital doctor in the emergency department and intensive care, I chose the field of general practice. In my view, it is the finest medical profession, particularly because of the contact with patients, the variety, and the long-term doctor-patient relationship.
I am interested in the person behind the patient and value a strong connection, as I believe this leads to the best care. The traditional village doctor, but in a modern setting with a team of colleagues where someone is always ready to assist you.
I hope to meet you soon at the practice in Weesp or Nigtevecht.
