Dear patients of Dr. Schuiringa and Dr. Hagendoorn,
Through this message, we would like to inform you about a change in our GP team at Huisartsenpraktijk Vechtrijk.
Dr. Betty Hagendoorn will unfortunately be leaving our practice on July 1, 2025. In recent years, she has worked with great attention and care for our patients. In the autumn, she will start working at a general practice in Amsterdam. We would like to thank her very much for her dedication and wish her every success with her next step.
From September 1, 2025, Dr. Maartje van Vugt-van Rossum will join us as a permanent GP, and will be the duo partner of Dr. Frederique Schuiringa.
Together they will care for their patient population.
Dr. van Vugt-van Rossum is an experienced GP and looks forward to working in our practice and getting to know you as a patient.
GP care will remain as you are accustomed to from us: reliable, accessible, and personal. We remain committed to providing high-quality care and a permanent GP for every patient.
We invite you to make an appointment if you would like to meet your new GP.
Dr. Hagendoorn would like to explain her departure, and Dr. van Vugt-van Rossum introduces herself as your new GP.
Kind regards,
General Practice Vechtrijk
Farewell from Dr. Hagendoorn:
After having been your permanent GP for three years, I will unfortunately be leaving Huisartsenpraktijk Vechtrijk as of July 1. It has not been an easy choice, as I have worked as your GP with great pleasure and commitment. Together with my colleague Frederique, I have been a steady point of contact for many of you, and for some, a support during difficult periods. I am aware of this and can imagine that my departure may have an impact; this certainly applies to me as well.
The reason for my departure is that I want to take an important step in my professional development: realizing my dream of becoming a practice owner. Unfortunately, this was not an option at Huisartsenpraktijk Vechtrijk, which is why I began looking further at the start of this year. I recently found a practice in Amsterdam where I have the opportunity to take that step, and it feels like the right time to take on this challenge.
I would like to thank you very much for the trust you have shown over the past years. It was special for me to be part of your lives – sometimes in small moments, sometimes in very significant ones. I have greatly valued that involvement, and I will take those experiences with me in my further career.
I wish you all the best and hope that you will continue to feel well-supported and at home in the practice in the future. And hopefully, we will cross paths again in Weesp!
With warm regards,
Betty Hagendoorn
Introduction of Dr. van Vugt-van Rossum:
As of September 1, 2025, I will be joining the team at Huisartsenpraktijk Vechtrijk, and I would like to introduce myself to you.
My name is Maartje van Vugt. Together with my husband and our four children, I live in beautiful Naarden.
I studied medicine and completed my GP training at Utrecht University. I finished my training in 2012 and began working as a GP in my trainer’s practice. After twelve instructive years, I was ready for a new challenge, which I found at Huisartsenpraktijk Vechtrijk.
To me, the practice of general medicine is the most rewarding profession there is. I consider it a privilege to guide patients of all ages and backgrounds, and to build lasting therapeutic relationships. The variety of complaints and situations makes every day unique.
I hope that my patients feel at ease with me. I strive to be accessible and approachable, to apply current medical insights, and to arrive at a suitable treatment plan together with the patient.
In my free time, I thoroughly enjoy family life. Sports play an important role in our family. Additionally, I enjoy playing the piano, and I recently started a photography course.
I look forward to meeting you starting in September!
Kind regards, Maartje van Vugt-van Rossum
